Sale of Deutsche Bank Immobilien
In 2003 the Deutsche Bank AG sold a hundred and fifty office and bank buildings in nine countries in continental Europe with a rentable floor space of approx. 500,000 sq.m to the Blackstone Group. This was the largest sale of property to an individual investor in Germany to date. The sale included 40 properties in various locations in Germany. In most cases, the Deutsche Bank continues to use the buildings. For the German locations, within a period of 10 weeks 1000hands AG completely surveyed the buildings, prepared floor plans with CAD systems and carried out floor space calculations based on various internationally accepted standards such as gif MF-G, DIN 277 and E 1836. These data were then used as the basis for the purchase contracts.
In addition to these buildings, about a further 1 million sq.m were processed for internal use in the CAFM system.
Up to 60 staff were involved in the project team.
